Polo shirts in hunter/jumper shows?

I have seen some girls in shows lately wearing polo shirts instead of traditional show shirts. I was thinking for schooling shows maybe I could wear a polo because I don't like the choker on my shirt. Is this legal for hunter/jumper schooling shows?
Thanks!

^It actually depends. If it is a schooling show (as mentioned) then polos may be allowed. Check the prize list for the show, and look under the "attire" section. If it says "casual" then polos are typically allowed.

Also find out what most people do. Technically at our schooling shows it's "ok" to wear a polo but almost everyone wears a show shirt and jacket. The hunter/eq riders who wear polos stick out.

At the big schooling shows, people wore a collared shirt with a sweater on top. But some people just wore regular shirts. I think it looks more professional to at least wear a collared shirt with a sweater on top.

But I would ask a coach or like Zexious said, check the site.

My show next week it says Hunt Coats and Braids are only recommended for the best dressed and best groomed. So I don't need a jacket.

I wear a jacket and button up shirt. It may be a schooling show though those little things can effect the judge's opinion without them thinking about it. I just think it is a very tradition based discipline(for hunter jumper). Jumper go for it, that is their "dress code" as far as I can really tell. And they look good, just saying I think h/jers shouldn't.
