Spur straps

I don't know if this is common knowledge, but instead of the rubber spur tie-downs (oops-don't know what they exactly are called) to keep the spurs from moving up & down, I use elastic hair bands from knob to knob and they fit under the heel with no trouble- use the thicker, strong ones...anyone do that or have a better idea ??

Yearling
I don't use anything other than my spur strap. My spurs are heavy enough and fit tight enough on my heel that they don't move.

I like the rubber band idea. I use nothing.
