Synthetic tall boots - just as comfy?

I'm going to be riding once a week, dressage mainly with some jump/cross training, and also occasional showing. But problem solved, I ended up spending a little more and buying some new Devon-Aire leather zip back field boots on eBay. Thanks for the feedback, ended up going leather because I want to have these for a while!

Did you make sure it wasn't their "leather like" boots and actual leather?

Ok, good! I always go, "Ooooh nice deal on leather boots!" then I open up the description and in there they sneak in the "leather like" part. :roll:

You should post on here after you receive them how well you like them. I'm trying to decide which brand would be best for me to purchase. I want to go for real leather as well (my Western boots are leather and have lasted me 3 years!) but no idea which brand to go with..

Okay, I will absolutely do that! Just for reference, they're Devon-Aire Nouvelle zip-back field boots. I went with field boots because even though I'll be doing dressage, I can use them in low level shows and if I decide to also do the hunt/jump thing, I'll need them. They should arrive somewhere between this Thursday and next Monday...will keep you posted!

Ok, here's my update:

They seem like nice boots, but I'll never know, because they don't fit.

I ordered my size, regular calf, which is what I tried on in at least 2 other brands at the local tack shop. I even had my foot measured and 7.5 medium height, medium calf is for sure my size. No other size will work on me. My boots arrived today and I can't even zip up the back. It's like they were mislabeled by the company and should have been size 7.5 slim or size 7 wide. And it sucks because the eBay seller doesn't accept returns.
