I'm like MHFQ, I do the half tuck around the house.
When we were in TX it seemed more acceptable to tuck your pants into your boots. A lot of them guys spent a good pile of money on some custom boots with fancy tops. The working guys did it and you even see it at the cutting horse futurity.
Someone mentioned above about it being hard to do with boot cut jeans....
You have to fold the bottoms over like if you were going to "peg" them, then fold up the bottom hem once to make a cuff. How big the cuff is depends on the length of the jeans. You don't want all that pant rubbing on your ankle bone jammed into your boot.
I have a pair of really old cowboy boots that my friend's mother gave to me (She won Rodeo Queen at the Calgary Stampede in them), I only use them for riding as I think their kinda "good luck" (yeah, I am cheesy)..I keep my pants over them.
BUT... my super super flashy "look at me" cowboy boots I wear for going out are worn with my pants tucked in... just cause I love them so much my SIL bought them for me for my B-Day
Why wouldn't you want to show these off? At Eric Church Concert, I got SO many compliments on them!!
