You do not have to have a credit card. You can opien a bank acount just for your paypal and only put what you are going to spend in it. Then you register it with pay pal. This will keep your main acounts safe if you are worried. I personly have never had a problem but it is easy to opien a second cheaking acount with just 100 dallors. Then you can shop on line with no worries.

I really like that idea but I decided I'd only do it once I turned 17 this fall. My mom will be more likely to say yes and let me purchase things off the Internet because I'll be older and not as much as a young "teen" to her eyes anymore. I'll also be making more money by then so I'll have more to spend. :)

You can always call EFO and ask for pricing on some stuff. It would be a lot nicer if what they had was posted on the website a bit better.
That's a good idea Velvet. Yes I also wished they posted some products and prices on their website. :/ They do say the companies they carry and they're pricey ones, so I hope they have good deals once in a while. ><

I hand 'bling' my daughter's show clothes for Western. It is easy but time consuming. You can take a simple shirt and turn it into something wonderful. All the supplies you would need can be found at Michael's or AC Moore.

Lakota, I buy most of my bling stuff

I use on my conchos from a girl that sells vintage Swarovski, and other 'new old' stock because well I'm old and like vintage, LOL. I also ordered some thing from her to bling up my show clothes. My colors are basically red and black, and I got these old leather bracelets :
NOS VINTAGE RED LEATHER SNAKE WATCH BAND BRACELET 8 in | eBay
To make a choker out of where slinks get that stretched out neck and than I bought these:
VINTAGE TINY RED SWIRL GLASS 3mm DOLL SHOE BUTTON BEAD | eBay to go in the holes in the bracelets. Two of the bracelets will make a nice sized necklace for me. Sarah always has sew on items like Swarovski sew on rhinestone stars, etc. (redsvintage) I used these pewter butterflies I got from her to make these conchos, and the other butterflies I tooled have Austrian crystals in them. I put the shank of these butterflies into a channel I made in the conchos to help glue them securely, but they were actually buttons too. Her things are probably more expensive than Michael's, I don't know but I've never gotten a thing from her I didn't love. Check out her things if you have time.

Hidalgo, I'm sorry I didn't come back here. I got your PM, but it won't let me reply because I don't have enough posts here. That's realy stupid! Yes, the link you sent to me is the tack shop that I told you about. I'm there all the time! Where in Maine are you staying. Their is another Tack shop 15 miles from this one in Maine. It's smaller, but most of the stuff is consignment stuff. Maybe you could hit both of them?

We are staying in Ogunquit but visit the Wells, York area as well.
Yes that would be wonderful if you could give me the name of the other tack shop! :) If it's not too far I'll maybe be able to convince my parents to visit both.

I really don't mind consignment stuff and that's mainly what I want to go through, so do you think you could (in general) advise me which tack shop has a better selection in their consignment area on certain objects.

This really depends on my budget but in general, I'll be looking out for:

    -half chaps (leather or suede)
    -show shirts
-a pair of beige breeches I would keep for shows.
-lunge line and some grooming brushes
-crop (in case I loose mine... for the 4th time and don't find it this time around ><)
    -maybe a fitted fleece pad.

So does one place usually have more show/riding clothes than another for example? Haha, basically, if you don't mind, just tell me all you know about both places. Like if you had my list, where would you most likely go to get the better deal? Sorry for all the questions, I like to be prepared beforehand. ;)

Thanks so much! You've helped so much so far. :)
