What color/show names? (2 horses)

I am going to start actively showing this year, hopefully. I don't know what colors would go best with the two horses I will be showing. I also would live some show name suggestions. They are both geldings. Thanks in advance for your imput.

First Horse
Chigger is a solid sorrel paint gelding. His registered name is ChickBarScooter. I don't have a show name for him yet. I will be doing some type of western showing with him, but I don't know what exactly yet.

Second Horse
Gus is a grey TWH gelding. His show name as of right now is Steel Strokin. With him, I will be doing general gaited classes along with trail obstacle. He will be ridden strictly western, not saddleseat.

I like red on sorrels:)

On my grey I use burgendy!it works so well! And on a sorrel I'd use some sort of blue or purple. And I thought that the registered name was the show name... you can't change it... right?... I've heard of other people doing this too, you can't get points or anything if you change it... but I honestly don't know.

The first horse you should be using his registered name, if you are going to be showing in AQHA/APHA shows.

I don't plan on doing any big shows this year. I don't have very much experience showing, and don't want to gain experience by spending more to enter the bigger shows. I will only be showing at the smaller local shows around here until I get more experience.

I have heard of something like that before, but I have never checked it out. Thanks for the link.
