What you look for when you buy

My mother and I are looking to branch out and start a side business making custom show clothes for any level of rider. Over the last year we have done some very nice western jackets/outfits that were sold locally and shown at the levels of 4-H through Pinto World. With these people we had sat down with their budget and looked online for prices of rhinestones and fabrics to figure out pricing that worked for them and ourselves.

However now we would like to get a website going and sell everywhere and cover a wide range of prices to help every level of show person.

So what I am asking is what do you look for when buying an outfit? Of course you want a quality garment that will last a long time but at what price do you pay? Will you only buy "name brand".

For western clothes:
What fabrics do you prefer? Do you want leather and high end crystals (like Swarovski)? Or would you like to have plenty of sparkle but instead be a high definition crystal (they do look really nice). What price do you like to stay within for a jacket and pants?

For English:
Do you prefer a wool coat or a poly blend? What is the price you like to stay around when purchasing?

I know when growing up money was a huge issue. My mother learned to sew to save money and from there she has done some really nice work. What we would like to do is have different classes of jackets to help with everyone’s budgets. I am trying to learn and like doing the "putsy" stuff (beading, rhinestones, etc). We have also started to work with painting the fabrics and doing some layering looks. I have listed a jacket we are trying to sell on EBay for an example of something we do.

Thanks for the help and have a great day!
