    Even for a local show I would still use a bridle...but that's just me. My background is "A" level hunters and so using a halter would just seem wrong. BUT THAT'S ME, (I say again:). Too many years being drilled on "looking the part".

    Just use the plain halter, IMO. Sounds like you'll need extra rudder control and so def. Thread the chain. :)

    Thanks Pam, I agree, if it was a bigger show I'd definitely get a bridle on your suggestion... and probably hire a handler. The manager of this show said that most people don't even braid, so it's pretty "lax".

    It's mainly an experiment to see how she acts off the farm and away from her buds. Any ribbons are gravy :)

    I'll definitely let you all know how it goes!
