Equifest for Roses parade

I was watching RFDTV for the Roses Parade and drill teams and such kinda like a pre show. Most horses were pretty well trained but a few had tie downs on, there mouths gaping and fighting the whole way shaking there head back and forth. It was upsetting to see this kind of horsemanship or lack of at this kind of an exibition.

I am guessing the fellow riders are not brave enough to tell them they have a training problem and help them.
This was disturbing to me and I felt very sorry for the horses as they looked very distressed.

i was absolutly awed as the horseman ship of all equifest the horsemenship of the cowgirl chicks was awesome

Ya Chur., it is sad, that even at these big broadcasted events poor horsemanship is present.

On the fighting thing though, my old mare Brandi LOVED parades. She would just go into this carousel pony frame and bob her head and prance and become very excited. It made people comment to me that I needed to train her better so she would not fight me the whole way, but that is no what she was doing at all... she was just being animated and I could let go of the reins completely and still not have a problem out of her while she was doing her thing. Just a thought.
