Finding local shows??? Please help!

I live in Spokane Washington, and this year I am showing a nice four year old APHA stallion. However, I am a first time shower. I have the horse and the drive to get him shown.

But I have been looking for local open shows everywhere, and can't find a single one. Where do you find information on show dates and locations? Is there some schedule I don't know about? Some loop I'm not included in? Where are all the open shows, and how do I find them?

Maybe I'm just really dumb this week, but I'm having a pretty hard time finding local shows of any kind! Please tell me how you found your shows.

I don't know about your state, but here we have a "Show Ring" magazine that comes out several times a year that is nothing but show bills.
