How Short??

How short should his mane be? I can upload a picture if you want, but I show in basicly everything pleasure except halter (SMS, HUS, Equi, WP, WH, trail)

You mean to band it? I've always heard that anywhere from 3-5 inches, personal preference, is acceptable. However, I also show in reining so I leave my horses' manes and tails long. When I show and I want to band, I do the basket weave. It takes a while, but it looks good and I always get a few compliments! Just a tip for if you want to keep his/her mane long. Love your horse, btw, gorgeous!

For WP, manes have to be real short. I would say to take an inch off, just to be safe.

It should be 3"-4" long at the most. You'll need to cut off at least half of the current length.

I use my hand. I put my hand flat on his neck and cut it that length.
