Question Jodhpur/breech colour help!

I'm taking my horse to a show in August and need new jods as i've outgrown my last ones. I plan on doing Riding club horse and novice showjumping/clear round. I currently have a grey tweed jacket, black velvet hat, a white shirt, a grey tie and long black boots. I was wondering what colour of jodhpurs would look the best with the jacket etc, any ideas?

For showing, as you are in the UK, you are going to need beige or canary jods/breeches. Personaly I do a lot of showing and I think you need to lighten/brighten up your outfit

If you want to do more showing you should look to replace your grey tweed with either a green or brown based tweed. You should also look to replace your hat with a navy one with flesh coloured straps.

Instant very quick/cheap way to brighten up your outfit is to change your tie, blue would look quite nice as would burgundy. Stick your shirt in the wash with a couple of very cheap yellow dusters to make it a cream colour. Cream is a better colour as it will not wash you out.

Thank you! I only really do the occasional local show so the tweed isn't really a big problem. Would the blue or burghundy tie work with the cream shirt and would making the shirt cream make it look better?

Yes it would lighten and brighten the outfit, it would wash out your complexion less.

Whilst your outfit is fine for locals I would suggest that if you ever change your hat or jacket you bear in mind what I have said. Showing is addictive! If you get the bug and decide to invest in it, it is worth getting the correct stuff.

Thank you again. :) don't get me wrong, I love showing but its not something I plan on doing very often - its too stressful! Although, I will bear it in mind.
