Long mane...

What should I do with it? I'm doing both halter and showmanship.

A) Leave it down

(Her mane actually looks a lot shorter in this picture than it actually is)

B) Thick bands

C) French braid

D) Long hunter braids

(I can do them a lot neater than this... that was just for a trail ride)

E) Scalloped braids

F) Braided bands

Are you dressing to show western or english as that will greatly effect my vote :)

I'll be dressed Western, but she'll be wearing a gaited-style halter and it's an open class.

Down looks much better.

Unless it weighs a ton... it's just a horse. Draft horse motto.

For a long mane in showmanship, leave it down and make it shine.

The braided bands look really nice.
I don't know anything about that kind of showing though, I just think it looks pretty and you've given me a new idea for my boy's lushes long mane. I'm bored with doing a running braid every time I show him.
