I lo ve the tip about thinking of something funny and actually making yourself smile

Our horses know our secrets; we braid our tears into there manes and whisper hopes into there ears.

Well do whatever makes you feel more comfortable you should try to smile but don't focus on it too much that it distracts you from your job.

I smile slightly, enough to show that I'm enjoying myself and am happy to be here. When I'm infront of the judge, or if the judge asks me to do something (back my horse up, remove my bridle) then I'll give him/her a bigger smile. I try to look like I'm concetrating, but not to the point that I'm unhappy to be here. Sometimes I watch other classes on the sidelines, and some of the girls don't look like their enjoying themselves at all! I always try to have a happy face, expecially since theres always someone taking pictures! :)

I have always tried to smile. And seem like I do better when I do. When I am too focused on setting him up and don't do as good.

Strength lies within the heart but the strength to trust lies between the horse and its rider.
