I use a shipping halter, I also use a bumper helmit (not that he needs it), and I wrap up his legs. I also bring a grooming halter as a back-up or if I am going to be there a few days I will just use the shipping halter for when we arrive and when we leave.

I will use a variety of halters and other tack when going to and from, but only show halters at the shows, but I primarily do halter shows, so it has a big impact with the smallest details, LOL!
