Advice for a beginner!

So in about a month or so I will be entering in my first show. I'm very excited and I want to show really bad. But I'm also REALLY nervous that I'm going to do something wrong, or my horse is going to spook, or something silly like that. Any advice for someone new to showing?

Have your friends push you out of a moving truck, gotta learn to fall. Haha I kid, kinda. Just relax, do what you know to do, ride like you would at home and the utmost, HAVE FUN. If its not fun there's no reason to show.

Just prepare as best you can, relax and enjoy. We all had to start somewhere.

Be confident and don't forget to smile!!

My first halter show I was so nervous I wasnt going to place-- the woman who owned the horse I was showing told me to stay confident and smile-- I placed first!! It works!

Go for the experience, not the ribbon.

Smile and breathe, breathe and smile.

Enter everything, expect nothing.

Keep breathing and smiling.

Make sure you and your horse are clean and tidy and you are wearing the correct gear.

More smiling and breathing.

Honestly, just go with the expectation that you are out to have fun, and relax.
