Bad Show Experiences

Note sure if this has been posted before so here goes!
Okay so, we've all had 'em before, and what are yours?

My worst was the Aylmer Fair, a relatively small fair, with a small pony Prize. This was last year..I was 15 and technicaly too old to be riding him but I passed for 12 that day. Don't tell please ;)
We warmed up in the ring before classes start so in I went. I followed a girl I was with and got in, walked 3 metres down the rail and he bucked right back out of the ring. Opps.
The girl comes back, squishes us against the rail with her horse makes us trot a lap.. I think he was having a meltdown. He was sooo spooked. Got out, he bucked again, bucked my crupper off. Thanks. Ran around found some tape, fixed the crupper. By then, my class has started and I haven't had time to warm up. I swear to God his feet didn't touch the ground all at once the entire class...or until they made 'the little girl on the bucking pony' (yeah they actually said that) stand in the centre. My turn for a breakdown. I cried. The judge said I did well though..? Get out the ring, had a huge pleasure class before my next one. Lunged the sh*t out of that pony...he ran and bucked and I yelled and snapped my whip. I was mad! I was trying not to cry and to make him canter when he took off, I slipped on the wet grass and was dragged around by my pony. My SMALL PONY! Went into my next class. I had to get someone to drag us into the ring. Got in and he had a fit AGAIN. I smacked him so hard, I legit broke my crop. It was cheap anyways but really?! He was dripping in sweat, hardly moving and I was cheering up then a pony bolted, ran into me, set him off again. I got him over it...not hitting him though as my crop was dead haha. I pinned 4th out of 10 in that class though(it was an eq).
That was 2 out my like 10 classes! The day did improve a lot though...I won back my entries and had a good time after that.
It was just so mortifying! People were yelling things like 'ride 'em cowgirl!', 'bronc!', and nothing I ever wanted to hear...lol I wanted to tell them to shut up but that wouldn't have eneded well.
It was such a bad day!

It's not exactly a show experience, but a 4-H practice one. It was a couple years ago when I was 14 and it was the first time I'd ever taken my mare anywhere except the trainers, where she was still in training at at the time. Well, she was a bit jumpy and curious about everything during our halter/showmanship practice, but then it was time for riding. I tied her to the trailer and saddled her. My trainer was there with me. When I cinched her up, I did it too quickly and a little too snug for her liking, so she reared up and broke her halter, which was the trainer's. She ran around the park like a wild woman and terrorized some people playing basketball (I think she wanted to play too, but they just wouldn't let her.) Then, she came running back towered the trailer parking area and of course decided to play with the horse with a red ribbon in it's tail. She decided that wasn't such a fun playmate, so she came up to the arena and a few people made a circle around her while my trainer slipped a new halter on. After that, she was fine the rest of the day. My trainer and I laughed about the broken halter and called it karma because just earlier that day she accidentally backed her truck over my helmet.

Another thing I thought of.. But this one is funny. I was having a crummy contesting day with Thunder, who was not listening at all.. Out of all the races, there was just one we weren't DQ'd because of a broken pattern.. In that race, he decided that he needed to go to the bathroom, so he did, in front of everyone. I was so embarrassed, and needless to say, we didn't place.

I guess we all have our problems...and our problematic ponies lol
Hope everyones ended alright. My sisters broke her halter once at a show and got loose..she stopped in about 30 seconds because she was in a grassy field though
