We had our Zone Jamboree this weekend - Two days of jumping, dressage, sporting and showriding. It was HOT - My face got so burnt, I think my brain is a bit broiled!

So this is a brag - Bundy was amazing! He did his first ever dressage tests - 1.3 and 2.1. I kind of forgot novice tests have to be ridden in a sit trot - I have never done it on him, ever! He was just like what are you doing! I did the novice first and he was super good. The lengthen was great by his standards. I got fourth. I then rode the 1.3 - He was even better. Nice and calm, transitions in all the right places, and a bit more forward because I could rise. We won!!!!!

Then the jumping - I was jumping in my stock saddle because it's the only saddle that fits him. We got something in six bar, don't remember what, and we won equitation!!! I got 9's for all the rider scores, and 8's for the horse scores.

We also did some sporting but he got kicked in the knee - Not lame but a bit sore so I didn't take him very fast.

Next day was the ring classes - Never expect to do well in these, I am just not the hacking type. But wow did he go well! A few things we need to work on - He was stubborn about his flying changes in a few workouts which cost us a supreme champion and a reserve champion. But we won: Pony club mount, Pleasure mount, Best educated hack and Working show hunter. I missed out on supreme PC Mount because he wouldn't do his fly. I got reserve champion working show hunter, and champion pleasure mount. Again, missed out on reserve best educated hack because he broke canter just before our fly. I also got 3rd in handler and 4th in bareback. I ended up tying for highpoint showriding, which is hilarious if you know me!

Also did the sporting - Stuffed a few up but did an AWESOME flag race - fastest time of the day.

AND...... DA DUM.... Me and my best friend Sam both tied for overall highpoint!!! She also won highpoint sporting - We both got two trophies.

So overall - A great weekend!

That's awesome! Congrats :)
I don't think we have a jamboree like that in QLD. If we do, I've never heard of it. It sounds heaps fun!

GREAT JOB sounds like a really fun day! I wish more shows around here had Bareback Eq classes! I know of two circuts around here that have a bareback eq class but it doesn't count for a series high point which is kind of sucky BUT still very cool!! I can't wait!

I haven't done Jamboree in 2 years. I miss it. What zone are you in? I'm in zone 9.
