I went to a jumper schooling show with Blazer this last Sunday and he was FANTASTIC. When we first got there it was so foggy and cold you couldn't see five feat in front of you. Blazer, like most horses, is usually a pill in this type of weather. But, to my pleasant surprise, my horse didn't put a foot out of place. He was such a rock star! We ended up getting a 2nd and a 1st. In our third class I went off course (the course was the same except they took out the last jump....but of course I was on autopilot and went over it anyways :evil so we got eliminated. Oh, I'm wearing a sweatshirt because it was COLD. It was a schooling show - nobody cared .
Here is a video from the show, I know I have 3 and half million things to work on, but I'm just so proud of my horse! I have known this horse for a long time, and I never thought he would enjoy jumping like this. He is much more confident now and I can feel him locking in on the jump and wanting to go over! Oh, and those lead changes? Were NOT there at ALL a month ago. We are going to our first three day in November, I can't wait!
