Bringing your own bedding to a show

How many bags/bales of bedding do you bring with you to horse shows?

In a few weeks I'm going to be taking my horse to a show where they supply the first day's bedding, but you're responsible for supplying your own after that. I'm planning on getting some bedding this weekend, but have no idea how much I'll need. My horse is boarded at a full care facility where they buy shavings in bulk, so I really have no idea as to how much gets put into the stall each day.

I'll be there for 3 nights (arriving Thurs evening, leaving Sun afternoon/evening). My horse is normally pretty neat in his stall at home, but the last show (and only show) I took him to, he was very messy. IIRC, the stalls there are 12x12 with dirt floors, no mats.

I won't know for sure until I go to the store, but I think I shouldn't have any problem finding either the compressed bales of shavings like this:

Or pelleted bedding like this:

Buy compressed shavings. When I bed stalls at shows I usually put 6 -8 bags in to start with and then keep an extra 3 or 4 to supplement when comes out when stalls are picked. Since they are bedding the first day for you, I would just bring along a few bags to keep the stall fluffy (especially if there are no mats).
