If I were you, I would steer your student immediately away from the Class A Arabian Show Circuit. I was in it for several years and finally got so sick to my stomach of the abuse five years ago. I have attended a few shows here and there since but nothing has or will change.
The abuse is disgusting. Trainers start yearlings in double twisted wire bits and only progress from that point on.
I personally dealt with the abuse by purchasing my horse who I found after the fact was sedated during test rides. I have had him since I was 12 (I am now 21) and I finally was able to regain his respect for humans again two years ago.
Get her out of the circuit and don't look back. She may not win at open shows but at least she won't be associating and promoting unnatural training methods such as Rollkur that Arabian circuits look for when choosing their winning horse.

Thought you guys might like to hear the result of the show.

The sport horse classes were great for her. She did really well and she was super happy with the show. The sport horse classes where much more low key then the hunter pleasure classes. I also finally convinced her to try some h/j schooling shows.

Yes it was very hard to watch the abuse in the main ring, especially the saddleseat horses. You see abuse at all shows, but the blatant acceptance of it was hard to watch. She is going to watch an A h/j show this week and I am hoping she will see the difference.
