Chance at Mini Horse Shows, but I'm clueless?
So I've gotten into contact with a nearby horse farm, and she has both Minis and big Horses (Andalusian mostly). Well, she says this year she would like to take her minis to shows, and she's offering me the chance to join her with the opportunity of showing Sage, a white miniature mare that I've fallen in love with. She wants to go into Performance - hunter, obstacles, jumper. And possibly the liberty class as well!
My problem? I know nothing about any of that. I know the basics of Liberty. You let the mini loose and she(or he for that matter) struts her (or his) stuff. And when the music stops I have 90seconds to catch her and halter her. But what can I do, as a handler, to prepare myself? I know next-to-nothing on how it all works? Anyone want to fill me in on the basics seeing as I'm a complete newbie?
So excited though! Sage is a beauty and I can't wait to make her shine!
