Congrats Whitaker Stables on the championship!!

Congratulations to the girls of Whitaker farms on their end of the year results!

This is the farm where I go to clinic a couple of times a year. They breed new forest ponies that are really talented.

Their four year old, Sir Lancelot, in his first season showing, garnered the Western Ontario Dressage Championship with his young rider!! Woohoo, Taylor!!

Now if we could just find a dressage coat to fit you!! LOL!

One of our forum members rode a young gelding, Sir Draco, of theirs and did very well. This pony developed HUGE allergies that required vet intervention. He was put on a series of allergy shots which greatly aggravated the itching. As a result, he rubbed all the hair off the tail. Hopefully, the shots will stop this.

Luckily, dressage judges don't take that into consideration.

Yes, Amy......the saddle is clean....

Another student took her horse. The weather was horrible, as was the footing. I still don't know how she did, but I was told they looked great. The giant Eric with Sheila

The footing from hell

Congratulations Taylor and Amy on a job well done!!

I'm sure looking forward to seeing you at the spring clinic. It will be time to put the jumping saddles back on!!

The ponies look like Welsh ponies. I thought NEw Forest Ponies were smaller and shaggier and more like Fell ponies. What do I know?

The girls look like very capable riders on very capable horses. I am jealous!

They are both kids with big futures in horses, if that is where their hearts are.

New Forest ponies are very similar looking to welsh.

Anita breeds some really nice ponies! Not only for dressage, but they are fabulous jumpers. I just wish I wasn't too tall to ride them.
