Costume Contest Costumes Help! Need help on figuring out how to make them.

This year I want to participate in the costume contest with all my horses. I thought I would do the Madagascar 3 theme. I have figured out how to do the giraffe and zebra but now im stuck on the lion and hippo. Any ideas how to make those costumes? Thanks for your help!

Get organge wool and sew strand of it to a piece of cloth that can be fastened along the neck. Tease it and put a lot of it on! I did this when we dressed as a harry potter theme and the horse was Ron, but I'm sure you could spunk it up to make it look more liony! It's also cheap :/

For the hippo try cutting big peices of card, painting the grey and tying them so they can hang on either side of the horse. This would only work if your horse isn't too spooky tho...

And ditto, use little ears and tails! They're easy to make if need be but also cheap to buy.
