I'm very excited with showing Faith this year. I'm very proud of her.
My original plan (since she's only 3 years old) was not to show this year and just do some training. However things didn't work out so well and I was asked to go with a show with my friends from the barn.
I was going go to, but then Faith got a injury (not sure what happened). I took her out of her stall on Monday and she had a nice, lovely, scrape down the back of her gaskin. Tuesday it was swollen, no heat, no favoring it, etc. So I told everyone that I wouldn't make it to the show. But Friday night, while everyone was out at the barn taking care of their horses before the show on Saturday, I looked at Faith's leg and the swelling was almost gone. Then I told everyone I was going. I haven't ridden her in almost a week, so I was convinced she was going to be insane at the show...Ha, ha.
I went to the show and got there. I let her lunge, etc. Um. Well. It was terrific. After our showmanship class (we got 3rd place) I jumped up on her. She acted like she's been doing this her whole life. This is her 2nd show season (about her 7th show) and last show season I just did in hand.
Well we ended up placing in all of our classes. We just did walk/trot classes.

I was so proud of her for doing so well.
