On Farm Show With Gonzo! :)

I showed Gonzo on the farm today and we had a fabulous time! It was our first show together and his first show jumping ever. I'm leaving for camp tomorrow so he'll stay at the barn without me :(

We did:

Eq. Walk Trot
Pleasure Horse Walk Trot Canter
Pleasure Horse Walk Trot Canter & Two Crossrails

In the walk trot class, G was absolutely perfect. I couldn't have asked for better. We got 2nd place!
The next class, I didn't keep him cantering, so we got a 5th. My fault completely but G was great. A little stubborn when we did circles but he was just getting bored!
In the jumping and flat class... It was a dream! He was great with everything! The jumping, we warmed up with two crossrails and he was okay, but I was all over the place.. When we did the two crossrails we were judged on, he cantered the second crossrail in the line (!!!!) and that was only his second time cantering a jump in his whole life! (he's extremely green to jumping.) I am just TOO proud!!
It was a great day and he was fabulous! :) He only spooked once, because my friend Tate got first and I tried to clap for her, so he got a little nervous since it wasn't a familiar noise. I'm going to miss him but Megen promised to take care of him and make sure everyones nice to him! And, of course I'll write him letters from sleepaway camp.. haha. <3

I also did a verticle line and a crossrail to a verticle in & out, on another horse, Luke. We knocked down a verticle on the line so we got 5th, but I had tons of fun, Luke is a dream to jump! :)
I'd been hoping Gonzo would be good enough to try it but he hasn't done verticles yet, so I couldn't ride him in that class, but Alex was nice to enough to let me get on Luke!! :)

Gonzo (the pony in my avvie) is a pony I ride at my barn, he's not mine but he thinks he is! He's really amazing but you have to be right for him and we're a perfect match. . So I get to ride him all the time but I'm growing out of him! :)
