So needless to say I'm kind of nervous. But I figure I've got to bite the bullet and get back in the arena. At this point waiting won't make it any easier. Dallas and I have been a team for 7 years, he's proved to me over and over again that he is a fantastic show horse, but I'm still anxious because this is a new place, new competitors and all that. We're not doing anything real big this year, just want to get used to everything and step it up for 2013. So it's just a little Open Show put on by a local pony club. I'll be doing 5 classes. We have some bumps in show seasons, so I'm hoping this one goes smoothly(missed 2007 because I was injured, missed 2010 because of family stuff). Dallas has been riding beautifully. So well that other boarders have come up to me to tell me how nice of a horse he is, or they just stop and stare. Lol.
At this point I have full confidence in Dallas, but I'm just hoping I've still got it. My classes are toward the end of the day, so I'll have time to settle him in and let him look around which will help. Anyone had a similar situation, or have any words or wisdom to share?
