Getting the most as dressage show spectator
Alright, a friend and I am going to a USDF dressage show this weekend to watch. I am trying to train my eye. Our trainer suggested to go and watch and see what other riders do and how good rides look as opposed to not so good. Her daughter, a rider I really admire, spent a lot of time when she was in Florida just watching shows. In fact, she can usually guess a rider's score with in a point or two.
As I am competing at training level this year I figured I would watch the training level rides and maybe some firsts and seconds. Much higher then that I don't know the finer points of the movements, so unless they mess up on something really obvious it all looks good to me.
So my question to all you dressage riders out there. How do I get the most out of this?
