Great showing experience!

My horse Ace and I were in a show last weekend and he did soooo great! The first class, an English walk trot, he did decent in, but we ended up getting first place because we were the only hunt-seaters in there with 6 other gaited horses and the judge said I was the best representation of my discipline. Then we were in best adult rider walk trot and we placed 2nd out of 5 riders. Lastly we were in hunter pleasure walk trot canter and we placed 2nd out of 6 riders. And you have to understand that up until this point my horse has never once had a good cantering experience at a show; he usually picks up the wrong lead or barges into it or something. But NONE of that happened this time! He was a perfect angel and just did sooo good! I was so proud of him! And the girl that beat us, both times in the last two classes, was really good and won every class she was in, so it wasn't bad getting second. We beat some horses and riders that I've seen at other shows that we have never beaten and that I never thought we would beat. Sorry for my rant, just had to share :)
We got three big ribbons and a horse head trophy.
Pattilou and waresbear like this.
