Our first day results at Largest Youth All Breed Show

Yesterday was my daughters first day at the All Breed Youth Show in Lansing, MI. I have to say, it was a looooooooong day. Super cool though seeing all the different breeds since we usually only go to Arab/HA shows.

Her first class was Open Hunter Pleasure 11 and Under and there were 18 in her class. She did great and got 2nd which was awesome because she was the only Arab against a bunch of QH's and TB's and people told us that gaited horses rarely do well in the Hunt classes. Plus this was her first time moving out of W/T to W/T/C!!!

Her second class was Open Hunter Equitation 11 and Under with 17 in the class and she got 2nd again! She missed her lead the 2nd way but fixed it right off.

I want to thank those who gave us critique on her canter in the other thread. She really worked on her seat and it worked!

Wow - big congrats! Sounds like she is having a great show and I'm not surprised, she is a lovely rider. Let us know how today goes. Post some pics too!
