Polos in Eq & Pleasure Classes at Schooling Shows

I'd really like to show Zee in our barn's schooling shows this year, and maybe a few of the other local schooling shows that are intended to be "fun" shows (not rated or affiliated). Zee is a senior who was out of work for several years, and had a suspensory injury several years ago. I never, ever ride or jump him without polos. I know it might be frowned upon by some judges, but would I be DQ'd in a schooling show if I used white polos, that would blend with his stockings? I plan to do adult beginner eq, and maybe a pleasure division or low hunters.

Typically, you can use boots/polos in Eq classes, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Although for the pleasure/low hunters boots are against the rules... but, since it's a schooling show, maybe you can talk to the judge/show manager about your horse's condition and see if they will allow you to use them.

Good luck!

Most schooling show are very laid back and will alow anything. Just ask the barn when you show up. I have seen draw rains used in classes. Not saying you should do that just saying have seen it.
