Reeco's first show under saddle.

It was with Great trepidation that I took Reeco out today for his first ever show undersaddle. It was a Chaps qualifier.

Reeco went in the coloured inhand where he was placed 2nd (got his inhand CHAPS Qual) and then went inhand reserve champ.

Then I warmed him up

And popped him into the novice class, which he won!!! So he got his Chaps NOvice qualification (excuse the body protector but at this point he has not been in company and I thought better to be careful)

And a rather special one as I was so pleased with him, I ended up giving him a kiss!! (note we are NOT in the ring here!)

Finaly I popped him in the coloured class, class had at least 10 in it and he was super chilled, he was pulled in 3rd and stayed there. He was the highest non native so qualified for the ridden Chaps final!

Great job!

Reeco looks so chilled and amazing. Hope Aires is that chilled at his first show.

He looks great, Faye, so relaxed. And well done with your qualifications! Bet you're very proud of him - what a start to his ridden showing career (:

You both look great!! Reeco just gleams. May I suggest that you start shopping for a different color show coat? If fits right, but Reeco, IMHO, would look better if you were wearing Navy. JUST me.
I can SEE why he won. Congratulations!

He looks pretty relaxed for his 1st show. Congrats.

Navy would be incorrect in the UK show ring. Navy is for hacks and show ponies only, as Reeco is a show hunter pony it has to be a Tweed jacket and that tweed had to be brown or green based.
