I showed on Saturday in the 1m imm j/o and got a 3rd and it was so much fun! I knew the course designer do he had 80% of the jumps at 3'3 and 3'6 spread and a few jumps at 3'6 and 3'9 spread! Sooo many horses hit the bigger jumps, really goes to show those horses are one trick ponys- no pun. And in the jumper medal we did the same jumps and the height didn't change and I got 1st!!! Soo happy my horse was great and I was bang on with everything!
The first round in the jumper round my horse was super excited she had some big jumps so it was very much a schooling round for me to get her listening. I use that class as my warm up before the medal. The videos of the jumper round to the medal o/f it amazing, it's like 2 different horses and riders! The jumper was fast, took long spots, had to REALLY hold down a 7 stride and then the medal was easy calm perfect distance every time, that 7 stride was perfectly ridden. The biger jumps ( small compared to what we do at home!) my horse jumped great and didnt get over excited about it. It was an amazing day, our flat was great. I rode my butt off!!
2 weeks ago I didn't place in the medal and last week I jumped the wrong jump at the second jump!! I didn't forget the course I just zoned in on the wrong one. So I was practicing for the last 2 weeks to redeem myself, then not placing last week only added to it. Now I have to keep up te hard work and hope this weekend goes well
