Saddle pad question...

Is it okay if I use a saddle pad with a number holder but not have a number on it and have it on my back instead?

If you're going to use a saddle pad with a number holder you should have the numbers in the pad and on your back. That is what I was told by several judges at the 4H shows I used to do (but I saw lots of riders with numbers just in the pad too). Contoured saddle pads are preferred for most shows. I always use a white contoured pad when I compete in Hunters and equitation at the A & B rated shows I do.
