    Show Season Review

    Hello All,

My two horses and I are done showing for the season. We will be back at it in spring. I wanted to share how we did since I am very proud of both of my horses.

Here is a little about Ringmaster aka Rusty:
Rusty is a 13hh Appaloosa gelding who we bought as a foal from a place with WAY too many horses, he was $50 and also starving to death. We think that the malnutrition during his vital growing time is what made him so short, since his parents where both at least 15hh. Rusty is a great all around horse, we use him in the lesson program, we take him on trail rides and he is one amazing jumper. Below is some pictures taken during the show season.

Together, Rusty and I took: 8 Firsts, 2 Seconds, 2 Thirds, 2 Fourths and 3 Fifths.

My other show horse is 7th Symphony aka Mozart. Mozart is a 5 year old OTTB who raced last in Oct 2012. I paid nothing for him and when I got him he had no training other than race training. I got him in the middle of show season and by the time I had owned him a month, he was ready for the show ring. Below are some pictures of us showing together.

Mozart and I only went to two shows this season and here is how we did: We took 4 Firsts, 3 Seconds, and 3 Fifths. We also took Reserve High Point at our second show, we were three points behind my trainer and her horse.

So I think that overall we had a great show season. We will be training hard this winter so that both horses are even better next show season.

As always, please no negative comments.
