Hello everyone, Iím planning on showing my Mini Horse in a halter competition next week. Itís his very first show and only my 2nd show ever. He is a chestnut and white paint with blue eyes. Around his eyes, his skin is black so it already makes his eyes look pretty nice. Is there anything I can do that will help accentuate his blue eyes? Also, part of his mane is white but itís kind of a yellowish right now. I have some purple shampoo (I canít think of the brand right now) that really gets his coat white, but will that have the same effect on his mane? Also, Iíve heard to put baby oil on horses with dark faces, what about him with his pink nose? & what am I going to do with all that mane he has now!? Hahah Basically I need all the tips you guys can give. ;)
Here are a few pics of him so you can see what Iím working with:
When I first got him (ugh did not like the shaved mane! Lol It has grown out now though)
His mane getting into its wild stage lol. I will of course have to clean him up, bridle path, whiskers and everything clipped before the show. But those bangs! LOL
What do you guys think? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
