This weekends show

So... we pulled up to the show grounds and ... thought we had the wrong day... There was nobody there...? I don't know if it was the heat or not? The show started at 9 and we got there 8 and tacked up and rode in the ring but by 9 only 1 other trailer had pulled up (we had three with us - 10 horses) We let the lead line and walk trot kids ride and then we went home... didn't see any sense in paying 12 dollars a class to compete against each other... Do you think it was the heat? Price in gas maybe? I e-mailed a friend that went to another show (these were both virginia horse association shows) she said there wasnt hardly anyone at the show she went to either.......

That's strange! Our schooling shows have been fairly large and not too different from past year. I just came back from a week at a rated show that was HUGE! There were at LEAST 30 per division. 3 rings a day that started around 7:30 and ended around 8pm. And I'm going back this week for round 2, which is supposed to be much bigger. People came in from as far as 10 hours away. Who knows!

That IS odd! Maybe it was the heat.

I just talked to a friend and she went to the 2 day hunt show at rosemont (it usually has so many trailers they run out of parking and there were maybe 5 trailers there...???? A TWO DAY SHOW! It had to be the heat...
