    when is it right?

My dark bay gelding Digbee, he is great around other horses in the ring, he wont kick bit nor pin his ears, I got him just about a month ago, and I can W/T/C with him I havent started jumping him yet. I would like some input from you guys, if yu think its a good idea that I bring him to a little local show no more than 50 horses there. I would enter him in walk trot, just so I don't put too much on him all at once.? or should I just take him and stand with him there to let him get use to the surroundings of being on show grounds?
Please just let me know, I would love yur opinion on this.

Take him to the show. If he acts like a crazy beast, scratch your classes.

The only way he's going to get show ring experience is to actually do it.

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to see how he does around the hustle and bustle of a show, my gelding is calm as can be in the arena at home but as soon as we hit the show ring he does his Arab impression, lol. Wide eyed, prancy, and tail flying. Maybe take him and see how be acts and enter him in some of the later classes?

Okay thank you:) yes I just didnt want to rush thingsa you know? I didnt want to ruin any trainin I have done or anything, but yes I will take him but he totally calm at home soo idk lol. He may be like yur arab gelding lol. Soo I will see theres a show in the fall im going to take him in, if he doesnt go crazy I will go in the classes, but if once im in there he goes crazy should I calm him down, or at least try to, or jus scratch the class.?

Go, see how he is, enter a class or two. If he behaves enter more in your division. If not use it as a learning experience and hang out, etc.
