Question Where could i Registry my Horse in a breed?

I am not sure if this belongs here but I want to know if there is any place I could register my Morgan/Mustang/TWH/Appendix Paint foal. I have looked up American Grade Horse Association and it says

" This registry is closed until further notice due to a severe illness in our family. We are unable to process any already received applications at this time and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. No payments are ever deposited or processed until registration applications are completed so if you have sent in funds they will not be processed and will not debit to your account. All applications with S.A.S.E. Were returned. We originally thought we would be able to work around this but due to the intense labor involved in this site and the seriousness of the illness we are forced to close the registry until further notice and redirect our focus to our family and devote all of our available time to that for now. We hope you understand and we will continue to be online for assistance for any registration issues of already registered horses but will not be accepting any new applications until further notice.

We will notify anyone currently waiting to be processed when we resume accepting applications and when you will be able to resubmit payment or cancel your application at that time. Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and will keep all applications on file in case the event of loss or stolen issues arise so that we will able to assist in recovery issues and verification of identity."

It has been like this since Jan 2012. I don't know where else to look to register him. Any suggestions? His dam is not registered, and I do not have his Sire's papers. Could any one turn me to a association that I could register him as? Thankyou.

No reputable registry will register your horse.

Why do you need to register him? Enjoy your horse, and attend shows that do not discriminate about papers. When you breed/obtain a grade horse, it kind of comes with the territory that they are not papered. Create your own records if you feel the need to keep after lineage.

Your horse is not breed specific and all reputable registrars are breed specific AFAIK. I've never heard of a grade horse registry. As asked above: why would you want to?

Pinto association would be your best bet.

AGHR - Their site is closed.

You don't need registration papers to show. The only time you really need them is for breed specific shows, and since he's a mish-mash of a bunch of breeds, he doesn't qualify to show in any of them.

Your only options at this point are the color registries. Pinto if your horse has any spots, although you can register as breeding stock if it's a filly and/or one of his parents did. Also depending on base color you could go for Buckskin or Palomino horse registries.
If you're able to get into one of the color registries, you should also be able to register in the Ranch horse association, provided your horse is listed as a "stock type" in the color registry.

But keep in mind you don't have to be registered to show. You do if you plan on going to breed shows obviously, but there are plenty of open shows out there as well. All you need for those is a negative coggins!
