Cody's Wild Adventure (true story)

In our little pasture we have 3 horses, Cody "the leader" is a 16hh, monster of a horse, Chester is 14hh, and tuff as you can get, and last, is little Duke, a 9.4hh little terror. So, the other day, Cody and the gang decide that there feild, just isnt good enough, and took the fraise "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" a little too litterally. Apperantly the grass is its greenest 2.5 miles away, across the county line. So I wake up early in the morning to my mom yelling, "Haylee we have to get going! The horse are ALL missing!" So I wake up calmly, get dressed, and head out the door. 30 mins later I arrive at the ranch to find no horses in site. We all go around the patures yelling for the horses, "cody, Chester, Duke, here boys!" After about 30 mins of walkng around and finding nothing, I get in the golf cart with my mom next to me holding our little collie puppie. Mom says "drive caref.....Ahh!" I had already hit the gas and we were out of there... moms a little nervous about me driving the golf cart. (not sure why... Im a GREAT driver. ) So we drive all over hell (pardon my francaise) and find nothing, so my mom gets in my car and drives on all the roads, while I continue the search on the golf cart. Another hour goes by, and we decide to go door to door asking if anyone had seen out horses. Apperantly a 16hh blue eyed paint, followed by a little grey pony, and a mini are really easy to miss. By the time we are done with driving around and door to door asking we had been out looking for 4 hours. We were begining to give up hope. Mom said it was time to go home, and I agreed, seeing no way to find them, unless they came home on their own. And just as we were getting into the car, a big red truck came barraling in... and I knew who it was. It was this stupid old man (who I don't like at all if you can't tell) and he came running up to me yelling "those **** horses of yours keep eating everyones hay, and if you don't go and get 'um someones gone take care of them their selves." when he said that I was real close to being arrested for assalt on an old man, but I held myself back and told him to take me to where they were. He said "well im not heading that way" and so, not caring that my mom was right in front of me, I told him "just tell me where my **** horses are RIGHT NOW!" If it werent for our ranch hand Chris I would have torn his face off because he wouldnt just shut up and tell me where they were. So finnally Chris got him to tell us where they were, and we all hoped in my car and headed out. His directions sucked, but I finnally found my way. Chris got out, and said he saw them, walked up, and grabbed cody with no problem at all. And being his hot cowboy self, jumped on his back, and rode twords the ranch, and the other 2 followed allong. We drove really close behind to make sure neither of the other 2 ran off. After 2 and 1/2 miles of horsey behind, we mad it home, put all the horses in the corral, and fixed the fence. I went to check on the horses to make sure there was no problems/ injuries on them. I chacked them all, and sure enough Cody got himself cought in a barb wire fence. His leg was all scratched up, but luckily he didnt get himself THAT bad. Just a few cuts. I washed them off, and he gave me a HUG... I think Cody finnally loves me! So, Im so happy my horses are safe, and the fence is fixed. I bout had a heart attack. Thanks for reading. Lol
