I honestly have no clue what part of the forum to put this in XD Well, a couple days ago, my riding instructor/barn owner got a horse that she didn't want (it was literally forced on her). Anyways, her names Lucy, she is a TB (and huge! Like, Iger sized!) mom thinks she's 18 years old, she can't remember. Well, mom fell in love with her. As stupid and selfish as it sounds, I hated that horse. I thought she would replace Iger. When she would nicker at me for attention or anything, I went straight to Brandy, completley ignored her. Honestly, I feel bad for doing that now, because no one's replacing Iger, he's always going to be special to me. So, I started petting her, giving her some attention...then we started lounging....aaannnd I was forced to ride (Mom wanted to see how she did). Now, we were told she was an evil mare, kicked, bucked, spooked at everything, etc, so I was obviously timid to ride her, but I got on anyways (more like jumped on...Like I said, she's huge! Lol) I walked, trot, and cantered on her, and she was perfect! Just an all around sweet girl! Very photogenic too ;) While we were riding...my saddle decided to test her to see if she was spooky...aaannd completley flipped over. To make things worse, I landed in horse crap, lol. But she didn't spook, she actually turned around and (as sweet as she is) I swear she gave me a look of "Why are you on the ground? Stupid!" The weird thing was, the saddle was as tight as it could go, so we have no idea why it flipped besides the fact she is extremly slippery lol. Anyways I hopped back on her (with a different saddle!) and she was good. She has an amazing slow canter, but she seems like she's kinda hyper (not a bad thing for me, I love to go! Lol) I'll upload some pictures of her, she is a really beautiful mare. Mom is *thinking* about buying her, but we don't know yet. I was thinking she would be a great jumper, but I would like to do something besides jump, since my current mare jumps. Anyways, I will hopefully ride her today, so I'll take more pics! Hopefully we can get her measured, too! Haha.
Heres my fave pic of Lucy :)

I swear she poses!

She has a lovely, kind eye, although in that first pic she looks rather skeptical! LOL
At 18 y/o she's not too old to be taught to jump, but I wouldn't expect you to have her jumping more than 2' at her age. At 18 she's middle aged, and us middle aged ladies don't go as fast or far as we used to, even though we think we're still all that!
