Unhappy R.I.P vanilla cherry sky (sorry its long)

so I just wanted to tell cherrys story sorry its long .
One day I got a call from my sister saying 'do you think we can get a horse? Its for free" I talked to my sisters friend and he said she was a rescue and needs a new home you can have her for free we would like 2 things of soda I drove out to pinion hills to check her out. When I got there the guy told me we rescued her from a foreclosed house she had,had a stall mate that had to be p.t.s his body had shut down by the time help came . When I first saw cherry I didnt expect to see her in that bad of condition she was a skeleton and they told me they rode her! I knew I had to save her from them 2 they had 15 other thin looking horses she was the worse they said they couldnt afford her and besides they had a pregnant mare on the way! I called her over n she came to me they told me she never comes to anyone ,she was an appaloosa with blue eyes one was half brown, she was dirty she looked just all brown. So foreword to her first day home I gave her a bath and to my belief she had a blanket of white that looked like snow all the way to her shoulders she was soo beautiful and trust worthy I spent all day brushing braiding and loving her. Her first week I was able to go under her do what ever to her she followed me around the yard just I swear a bomb proof horse was not afraid of anything thad her teeth looked out turned out she was in her twenties they told me she was 10! Fast forward a few months being a great lawn ornament gaining some weight. I than got stormy she needed a friend well after a few months she started going down hill she lost weight again I didnt understand .so I started calling around to see who could come see her how soon .well the next morning I went out around 7 or so and I didnt see her she usually stands on the side of my house stormy was by the gate well I went to the back of the yard and she's down I don't know how long she was down for but it was to late. I tried pulling her up getting her up but her back legs were done all she could do was sit and fall back we pulled on her for awhile the whole while im saying "cherry get up! You can do it please !" bawling my eyes out I didnt want to give up on her, when I could tell she was exhausted I knew it was time she looked at me and told me I called to have her p.t.s I rubbed her face n gave her one last kiss and said" I love you u were they best horse in the whole world"...

What a heart wrenching story. Thank you for sharing.
I think she must have had some physical problem from before you got her that made it impossible for you to bring her back to health, even though you tried. How long was she with you? Do you have any photos? I would love to see her. I really don't know what to say except you gave her a wonderful last part to her life, and that means a lot.
