The young foal opened it's eyes and looked out into the world. He took a deep breath of the warm sticky air of Georgia. He had just been born yesterday, remembering the terrifying but exciting experiance. The little girl came around the stall door and held out a carrot. "Elegance" She whispered. The foal assumed he was Elegance and his mother was Sunny Today. He eagerly snatched the carrot from her hands and began to suck on it because he didn't have all his teeth. The little girl smiled.
Elegance found the little girl to be with him at all times, always bringing a carrot. She came around one day and he whinnied for his carrot. He could faintly smell them, but he couldn't see them. The girl was also carring a purple rope and a red rope. She slipped the red rope over his head, and hooked the purple rope on. Elegance wasn't Elegant. He bucked around shaking his head trying to get it off.
