Alright thanks for the information! I didn't quite understand how it worked, but I have been doing my research
I can't say I'm entirely thrilled with this bit; It comes in handy when I need him off my hands, or when he tries to blow through my hands, but he isn't a hot horse at all. I noticed he only shakes his head when we do a really tight turn, and I use more hand then leg. In other words, it's my fault. He's been in this bit for about a month now, so I would think he has had time to get used to it. But, like I said, he only seems irriated in that kind of situation.
What would some signs of discomfort be that I can look out for?
I'm sad to say, that my trainer can sometimes be stubborn, and earlier told me that the slow twist wasn't severe...WTH? I'll admit that was only temporary, but I know that was NOT a mild bit!
So, I can't entirely trust her on this...
Let's say this isn't the right bit...any other suggestions? Oh, and any tips for dealing with an adamant trainer? LOL! (she really is great though
