The only ones really suitable for endurance would be Garmin Forerunner 310 XT, or the Garmin fortrex 401, you will need to buy the horse adapter HRM, The older 301 foretrex is pretty good but doesnt have HRM. I use a seperate hand held monitor. As I pretty much only use it at the trailer.
The other wrist GPS arnt suitable for endurance, they tend to not have the battery life to last a ride or weak recievers that loose signal in the woods. They are made for city people to jog around the block then recharge... Personally I feel the foretrex line is superior to the forerunner because it uses AAA batteries and I can swap em out if there is a problem instead of plugging in to a laptop and recharging.
