I don't think an alert is needed. When buying a saddle the purchaser should do their homework.

Agreed. I you're going to buy something that expensive you should look into what you're buying. Furthermore, while it does have a bad stigma, not all saddles made in India are bad. A person I know went through four or five saddles before buying a cheap "Made in India" saddle, and she had it for several years before selling it (Got rid of the horse). It worked as good as any other and still looked wonderful when she sold it.

    Hi all!

We DO have all of our saddles and tack made in India, we are in no way trying to hide it, it says so on the site ;)

We design all of the saddles and trees ourselves, and do extensive product testing here in the U.S. Our saddles are then custom made for us in India using premium materials. We employ strict quality standards and testing on all of our saddles.

We then hand inspect each saddle before it leaves our warehouse in Illinois.

We are horse people ourselves, we take great pride in designing and manufacturing good quality saddles at an afforable price.

Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions! :)

Most of the horse blankets we buy are made in China or similar, my cheap T shirts that I wear to clean the barn are made in the same country as the more expensive ones with the Ralph lauren label on them that I like to ride in.
You just have to be aware of quality of materials and craftmanship - you can buy cheap crap made in the UK or the US I'm sure.

Sorry, this is my first time on the site. I don't know what trackbacks, etc. are yet.
