Sheesh, if you think you're a heavy rider - I'd hate to know what I am :P I am 5'7" and weigh 175lbs.

I think you look great :)

I highly doubt the average person, even with good muscle, shows up as over weight or obese on the BMI if they do not have a few LBs to lose.

Obviously weight builders are different. You do not look like a weight builder from your photos.
i shouldn't have responded to your post in the first place. My bad.

I actually like the waist to height ratio better (Woman's Body-Mass Index & Waist-to-Height Ratio Calculator)
Rather than the BMI calculations which are pretty outdated and don't take into consideration where the fat lays and give you pretty arbitrary numbers.

Anyway...

The OP doesn't look overweight at all and I would not consider you a 'heavy rider'. However your best bet may to talk to a member of sales or customer service from the company and find out from them.

I don't

I wouldn't be going by BMI either. A 4'8 tall person who weighed 115 lbs is technically overweight, but are they considered a heavy rider? Nooooo way.

Gidget, I agree you are probably a medium sized rider. Like Spastic said, you should really call the company and ask for their opinion, but I don't see how any one could classify you as a "heavy rider".

No, I don't think you're a heavy rider. IMO people around your weight are about the average weight..I checked the bmi and it says I'm underweight..I'm 5'3" and 100lbs but I don't think I'm underweight, I'm fit and healthy..so I don't really trust the bmi thing..I agree with SpasticDove..I haven't tried the waist to height thing but I will tonight and see what it says..

Thank you to those who were helpful

AB, I did not ask what my BMI was. I already know what mine is on the internet and to let you know those aren't completely accurate. The doctor said I'm 14 lbs overweight. I don't think I'm obese but yes I am overweight. I am sensitive about my weight like thousands of people are. I use to be 148 untill I had to take medication and ever since then I have gained weight...please do not tell me what I am as I assure you I have a pretty good idea :)

Um, you asked.

I did not realize the thread had a restriction on who was allowed to answer.

I did not say you were obese.

AB

I suppose I should have put restrictions.. :P I'm not mad or anything but I simply wanted to know what I was considered as a rider and not for someone to tell me my BMI said I was overweight. I just need to know for pad recommendations is all.

I suppose it would be best to go talk to a saddle specialist who sales the type of saddles to see which would be best.

Well she didn't ask that..she asked if she was a heavy rider..she didn't ask if we thought she was over weight..and she might be a little over weight but that doesn't make her a "heavy rider"..which clearly she's not..so that was just unnicessary of you to say that.
