Am i missing something?

Western Show Pleasure Trail Saddle 16 - eBay (item 230445863840 end time Mar-11-10 01:41:59 PST)

I'm looking for a new show saddle, something just for local/fair shows. I was trying to get an idea at price and ran across this one. Does anyone think it would be a good idea to buy and try it and if it doesn't fit, sell it on craigslist or such? I'm iffy about buying saddles online so i need some backup.

It's a junk - no doubt on that. They all look good, but even when you touch it you can tell the quality is awful. And selling such saddle will be a nightmare too most probably. If you have little money go with the used one but nice brand. Sometime you can find one cheap and junky looking, but after you clean and condition it it'll be nice looking. That one will be easier to sell as well.

A long time ago I bought an english saddle from one of those ebay stores. It was poorly made, and when I tried to use it, the stirrup leather just fell right off the saddle.

My mom managed to resell it, but at a significant loss.

Out of curiosity I re-read the description. "This saddle is made of top quality harness leather and craftsmanship. " I wonder what THAT means!

There are some other saddles I've seen on eBay
