Antique saddle question

I am trying to determine when this drawing of a horse was made (I'm pretty sure it was before 1900.) Do any of you experts see any details in the saddle that would point to a certain time period?
Thanks!

Tail apart it looks vaguely like an early carousel horse to me, but that's just an impression. The tack looks circus x medieval - no clues I can see.

I reckon it was drawn much later, though. Steam carousels appeared in the 1840s, if memory serves.

It looks more fanciful than historically accurate. Sorry.

What Allison said. Looks more like a youngster's drawing than anything else.

What does the inscription under the picture state? I can see that there are words underneath the drawing.

Thanks for the replies. A carousel horse is a good thought.
The text under the horse is just the name of the girl who drew it, in Fraktur lettering. The top 3 candidates I've found with that name would've been around age 16 in the years 1840, 1870, and 1900. The spelling of her name "Eliesabeth", and presence of a "" in her last name suggest to me an earlier date.
