it looks like a cross between a aussie saddle and an english saddle... interesting

It looks like a variation of several different saddles, one being the Selle Royale


It is used by the Spanish Riding School.

You have an interesting saddle but it's pretty old and dry, I don't think I would be riding in it but it looks good as a decorational piece.

yeah it'is quite interesting,and as bad as this probably sounds I found this saddle at the landfill!! I was just sitting right out on top so i picked it up and asked the attendant if I could have it and she said yes so here it is I have cleaned it many times and oiled ittoo but I think it is just a nice conversation piece just had no clue what it is?

A friend also told me she thought it was an old austrailian calvary saddle. However I don't know just thought someone on here could maybe enlighten me.

Reminds of a spanish school saddle but not quite...
Looks really comfy! But I'd put the stirrupleathers the other way around so the buckle is by the foot.
(weird english habit to put the buckle where it's the most uncomfortable :P)
